July 31st rodeo at the Calico Rock prison discussed, you need to see George if you would like to participate. He will need some information so you can be allowed inside the prison. We will do two programs, one AM and one PM.
Mountain, Music and Motorcycles event is July 20th-22nd. We are in the drawing for a booth, we will know by the end of April or the 1st of May if we have a spot. We will only be doing one day, Saturday the 21st. We will just be making our presents known and handing out RRJ materials.
Turkey Trot booth, we will not be doing a booth this year, rather we will walk the crowds and hand out materials.
Fund raisers. Darlene has volunteered to head up a fundraiser committee. Fund raising ideas are needed. So far we are looking at Karmel Korn, 50/50 drawings, possible refurbishing some old motorcycles to either give away or raffle off. John and Warren will be looking into that possibility.
A chapter women’s ministry group discussed. Women would monthly.
A over night ride Memorial Day weekend was discussed. Suggestions needed. Tunica was suggested because of their great eating-places. We will not go anywhere a member is not comfortable in going. Bill is working on other possible rides.
Son Rise ride is June 5th. This is the Internationals only fund raising event. See Dave if you have question on this.
Days of Praise, September 8th thru the 12th, lodgings fill fast, you need to decide if you are going and make your plans on where you will be staying.
Website, John has updated the site and has done a super job. Information on events and sure should be directed to him so it can be posted on the site.
Chapter hand out business card design was presented. Darlene supplied us with several companies that will do 500 cards for $5.00. John will be ordering 1000 of them.
Biker Sunday at the Nazarene Church was to be April 25th @ 10:30 AM, that has been changed to the 18th, same time.
Norfolk Pioneer Days is the 1st Saturday in May, the idea of a bike show was brought up. Nothing decided.
Burke made a motion to send $50.00 to St Jude’s in the name of Venita Reed, Charlie Reed’s mother. Motion seconded and passed.
A most miles ridden by member in 2010 was discussed, It is being refined and will be ready to be put in place at the March 20th meeting.
Coats for kids, we will be doing that again this year. The 2009 event was a learning event and we will be doing some of it differently this year. Date has not been set.
Shoe drive, will not be done again, while the event was very successful, the fact that we would need to pay shipping to St Louis was prohibitive.
We need to order more chapter patches; the first 18 went very quickly. One will need to be replaced as it is flawed.
There are 10 non-elected positions available in the chapter. Members are encouraged to consider volunteering for one of these positions.
Fellowships were discussed. We will not be doing the monthly fellowships this year. We will do something every couple of months, picnics, BBQs or dinners.
The possibility of starting a chapter in Yellville was discussed. Bill will look further into it.
Praise in the Park July 17th from 11 AM to 3 PM, a picnic and praise event to be put on by The Fire Escape. It will be in the Lakeview Dam Site Park.
Motion was made to close meeting and seconded.
