Our 2012 Polar Bear Run, which we held on December 31, 2011, was simply beautiful. The weather, the Spirit, the fellowship and the food were all perfect.

We were blessed to have 58 bikes (or trikes) and 71 people participate. The group met for coffee and fellowship starting at around 9 am, under partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 50′s.

We left for our ride at 10:30 am as the temps reached into the 60′s. We had a beautiful sunny ride up 5 to Gainsville, MO, then across 160 and back to Mountain Home on 201. We got back at 12:30 just in time for hot dogs, chili, and all sorts of chips and goodies from the many wonderful cooks of RRJ 24.

We gave away many door prizes, filled up on apple cider and told many tails of other rides in snow and ice and such. But today was perfect. And the best was that many bikes and trikes were blessed for the new year, thanks to Chaplain George and his willing assistants Dave and Gregory.

Many, many thanks to all of our guests and all of the Chapter 24 members who honored the Lord on this beautiful day.

July 2011 Cookout

IMG_0090.JPG

Oh, it was HOT!

It was 102 in the shade and the humidity was just as high. But nothing will stop RRJ24 from fellowship and FOOD!

We gathered at Warren’s for an old fashioned back yard cookout with George’s hotdogs roasted over an open fire, Warren’s chili, Charlie Reed’s pasta, and more salads and deserts than I could count. The food was oh, so good.

George and Joey perform their magic.

Then we sat around the camp fire…. well actually we stayed away from the camp fire. It was so hot the grass caught fire and we had to get out the hose to put it out.

But a good time was had by all.

Warren's new Harley Davidson Screamin Eagle

Also, we had the first peek at Warren’s new Screamin Eagle. He just took delivery yesterday, so this was a real treat. Soon it will be off to the shop for a trike conversion. We can’t wait to see it when it is done.

More pictures are (here).
